Belly dancing, originally, was practiced by women to honor one aspect of the feminine energy of creation, which is the ability to create and give life, through sexuality, and is expressed in the sacred rituals dedicated to celebrate the fertility of the land. This aspect of femininity corresponds to the archetype of Aphrodite. With his pelvic movements and ground, with its shock, vibration and swaying movements, activates the energy of the first two energy centers or chakras, located in the pelvis and abdomen, the seat of creativity. Its combination with aromatherapy, along with awareness of the body and its sensations cause women to become aware of its true essence, as part of a new Conscious Femininity.
